Milperra - BP Fuel Canopy and Restaurant Structure

Hard Bakka Rigging successfully delivered the full rigging and structural steel installation for a newly developed BP service station canopy and adjoining restaurant in Milperra, NSW. This project formed part of a larger commercial roadside development, designed to accommodate heavy vehicle refuelling and 24/7 hospitality services.

Our role in the Milperra project involved the safe erection of the fuel canopy, a complex steel structure requiring precision lifts and coordinated sequencing to ensure both structural integrity and safety compliance. The canopy featured long-span steel beams and cantilevered elements, which were rigged and positioned using a combination of 25T mobile cranes, EWPs, and forklifts.

Adjacent to the canopy, our team also completed the structural framework for the restaurant facility. This included the lifting and placement of portal frames, roof purlins, wall girts, and steel bracing systems to support cladding, HVAC units, and internal fit-outs.

Our crew of licensed riggers executed the project efficiently within a tight timeline. With work taking place on an active development site, close coordination with other trades and contractors was essential to maintain workflow continuity and on-site safety. No incidents were reported throughout the project duration—a testament to our commitment to WHS standards and job site discipline.

This installation is a prime example of Hard Bakka Rigging’s ability to deliver turnkey rigging services for commercial and fuel infrastructure developments. Whether it’s a standalone structure or a multi-purpose facility, our team ensures every project is completed on time, within budget, and with absolute precision.
