Project Overview
Hard Bakka Rigging was contracted to deliver the structural steel erection works for a brand-new Kleenex factory in Wetherill Park—part of an industrial expansion to increase national tissue and hygiene product output. The facility is operated under one of the world’s leading FMCG brands, which required that all structural work be delivered with strict adherence to compliance standards and scheduling.
Precision Under Pressure
The project involved the installation of steel frameworks, including main production floor beams, high-roof warehouse supports, and auxiliary load-bearing structures. Working under tight deadlines and within a high-traffic industrial estate, our team ensured efficient lifting and placement using a 30T crane, multiple boom lifts, and forklifts to streamline installation.
Special consideration was required due to Kleenex’s high hygiene and quality control expectations, even during the construction phase. Our riggers underwent additional safety and conduct inductions and ensured clean steel handling throughout the erection phase.
Safety and Quality Control
Hard Bakka Rigging followed a rigorous safety management plan, complete with site-specific SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) and ongoing toolbox talks to ensure team-wide compliance. The structure was completed with zero incidents, and all steel connections and alignments were verified and signed off in accordance with the client’s engineering specifications.
