Kootingal – Equestrian Exhibit Structure

Specialist Rigging for Agricultural Event Facility

Hard Bakka Rigging proudly delivered the complete steel erection scope for the Equestrian Exhibit Structure in Kootingal, New South Wales. This large-scale rigging project formed part of an agricultural showground expansion designed to support regional equine events, livestock showcases, and large public gatherings.

The structure included 94 tonnes of structural steel, requiring meticulous planning, safe rigging procedures, and efficient coordination. Our experienced crew of nine team members worked seamlessly across the 12-day project duration, handling all aspects of lifting, aligning, and securing steel members into position.

To execute the job, we utilised a 30-tonne mobile crane, boom lifts, and a 4-tonne all-terrain forklift. These machines enabled our team to rig and position large beams, trusses, and roofing components safely and efficiently—ensuring complete structural alignment with minimal disruption.

Despite the complex logistics and open-area constraints of a regional construction site, the Hard Bakka Rigging team completed the project on time and on budget, with zero reported safety incidents. This is a testament to our proactive planning, strong on-site leadership, and strict adherence to Safe Work Australia safety standards.

The Kootingal Equestrian Structure was designed for functionality and endurance, offering expansive roof coverage and unobstructed floor space. Such large-span installations require expert riggers to manage not only the heavy lifts but also the stability of the entire steel frame under changing weather conditions and ground variability.
