Moss Vale - Data Centre - Offices and Façade Structures

Hard Bakka Rigging was contracted to deliver precision steel rigging and structural assembly for a new Data Centre in Moss Vale, complete with attached offices and architectural façade structures. This high-priority project demanded a combination of structural integrity, efficiency, and careful detailing, especially due to the complexity of the façade and critical infrastructure housed within the data centre.

Our team of experienced riggers worked closely with the main contractor and engineering consultants to install structural steel frameworks, façade support systems, and secondary steel elements. These components formed the backbone of the building’s structural and aesthetic design. Our role included hoisting steel beams, positioning façade panels, and ensuring tolerance alignment for critical junctions and mechanical interfaces.

The rigging phase was completed using a combination of mobile cranes, scissor lifts, and precision laser alignment tools to ensure that the structural grid was erected according to specifications. Careful planning was essential due to the tight timelines and multi-trade coordination required to deliver both the data centre’s operational core and the external visual façade simultaneously.

In line with our standard practice, Hard Bakka Rigging implemented a comprehensive risk management strategy, site safety audits, and proactive communication with stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery. The site remained incident-free throughout the rigging works.

This project highlights our ability to handle technically demanding installations involving multi-storey steel assembly and architectural detailing. Our contribution ensured that the data centre and its integrated office and façade systems were delivered on time, within budget, and compliant with Australian safety and construction standards.

As part of our rigorous quality control procedures, Hard Bakka Rigging ensures all Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are submitted and approved prior to site mobilisation. This provides our clients with confidence that our crew fully understand the job-specific risks, safety protocols, and control measures required to carry out the work safely and effectively.

Additionally, we provide and sign off on Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) in collaboration with the client. These documents serve as a formal verification that each stage of the installation has been completed in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards. This process guarantees transparency, accountability, and client satisfaction at every critical milestone of the project.
