Project Overview
Hard Bakka Rigging was engaged to erect the structural steel for the Warriewood Valley Community Centre in Warriewood, NSW. The package covered the building’s roof framing, mezzanines, purlins and architectural steel structures.

As a public community building, the steel went up zone by zone. Each zone followed a set erection sequence, with temporary bracing planned into the method so the frame stayed stable until the permanent steel was in place.

Zone-by-Zone Erection
The building was erected in zones rather than as one continuous run. That let our crew complete and check one area before moving the crane and EWPs to the next. Temporary bracing was part of the planned erection methodology, holding partly erected steel in position until the permanent members and connections took over.

Quality
Work was signed off through QA sign-off systems and inspection procedures, and the roof framing, mezzanines and purlins were erected to the planned sequence.
